Avid urban explorer K, ventures into an abandoned school in the town centre. The school was completed in 1967 and closed in 1997. It has been derelict for more than 20 years and is only 5-6 minutes away from the nearest MTR station.
An arched plaque bearing the school’s name sits above the main entrance, which has been rusted through over the years. The deserted campus is full of debris and weeds, contrasting sharply with the lively streets outside. Most of the false ceilings in the classrooms have collapsed, there are broken desks and chairs with books scattered on the floor. The calendar on the wall is still at 1997.
Urban exploration is based on the principles of take nothing except picture, leave no trace and not revealing the location.
