Built in 1938, the Chinese pai lau gateway to the Hotung Garden was constructed in memory of the passing of Clara Cheung, the wife of Robert Hotung.

Hotung Garden, a gorgeous mansion built in 1927 in Chinese Renaissance architecture, rated a Grade I historic building in 2011, was demolished in 2013.
