民陣號召晚上8-9時在中環愛丁堡廣場舉行大規模「G20 Free Hong Kong 集會」（G20 解放香港集會）。
The G20 summit will be held in Osaka on Friday and Saturday (28th and 29th). A group of netizens who oppose the “Fugitive Offenders Regulations” in Hong Kong launched a marathon petition action on Wednesday towards consulates of the G20 countries, urging them to put pressure on Chinese President Xi Jinping at the summit on Hong Kong protests.
At 9:00 am, protesters gather at Chater Garden in Central, then go to the US Consulate, the European Union Office and the British Consulate to petition. After that, the petitioners will be divided into three batches. The first batch covers consulates in the Wanchai area, including Italy, Australia, and Indonesia; the second batch covers consulates in Central, including Japan, Germany, Canada and India; the third will go to Wanchai, covering South Africa, Italy and Turkey.
Protesters wore black and marched silently to the consulates. They also wore masks as a symbol of resistance.
A massive turnout is expected as the Civil Rights Front called for a “G20 Free Hong Kong Rally” at Edinburgh Place in Central at 8-9 pm.
